Kapwa, makers of handwash and other soap products based in STM-Tondo, was trained to produce sanitizers, room and linen spray, and other hygiene and cleaning products. Green Badge, who repurpose old Maynilad uniform into new items like drawstring bags, based in STM-Riverview, was trained to produce face masks, tote bags, and plush toys. Both Kapwa and Green Badge communities are beneficiaries of Maynilad’s pro-poor water service delivery program, Samahang Tubig Maynilad (STM). STM is a scheme wherein informal settler household groups are organized into cooperative-based water associations that are trained to effectively manage the small-scale water service systems in their respective areas. Meanwhile, Dumagats artisans who help take care of our Ipo watershed, was trained to produce pots and trays out of driftwood under the Sining Ipo program.
