Protecting Migrant Workers from Exploitation through Strengthening of Social Structures, Formation of Alliances, and the Application of Ethical Standards and Internet Technology (PROTECT Project)

Through the project, trafficking response in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) was strengthened and enhanced through the Bangsamoro Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (BIACAT-VAWC); safe migration mechanisms including grassroots-based Communication Plan and introduction of a digital case management sub-portal were developed; and reintegration support was established for former OFWs who received no interventions for reintegration support.
