Disasters put children’s well-being, health and safety at risk, interfere with their education, drive them away from home, and deprive them of their most basic needs. We reduce children’s vulnerabilities to both natural and manmade calamities by equipping families and communities with life-saving disaster preparedness skills, and delivering timely and adequate relief, rehabilitation, and recovery assistance.
