Maynilad, as a water and sanitation service provider, affirms its role in community development and nation building by pursuing capacity development initiatives that enable marginalized communities to improve their quality of life. Among the objectives of the seminar were: • To reduce poverty and inequality by generating employment among poor households • Empower the community to create a small business during pandemic • Increased capacity of the communities in production, management and marketing of agricultural and non-agricultural products, including micro-enterprises. • Economically-viable and sustainable community-based organizations are managed by the communities for successful production and marketing. • Increased awareness and knowledge among the communities on the impact of natural disasters on economic sustainability
