Brief Description
FH supports mature Savings Group transition into micro-enterprises. Support for the groups includes training on technical, market, financial, and management feasibility analyses so they can identify potential and lucrative entrepreneurial ventures. Part of FH's support includes business proposal writing to teach groups on business plan development. Proposals are reviewed by a business development committee comprising FH staff and representatives with business experience from the barangay local government unit (BLGU), city/municipal LGU, and other FH partners. The committee will provide the SGs with feedback so they can improve their business plans. Once the groups have their plans approved by the committee, FH provides them with start up materials that will help their microenterprises. To date, FH has facilitated the formation of micro-enterprises on handcraft production, sari-sari stores and retail businesses, laundromats, and many others. The enterprises serve as additional income sources and even enables some to create jobs for communities.
