ABC+ Program: Advancing Basic Education in the Philippines

The ABC+: Advancing Basic Education in the Philippines, a program of DepEd supported by the United States Agency for International Development or USAID in the Philippines, implemented by RTI International and The Asia Foundation rolled out the Parent and Community Engagement Learning Sessions (PCE Learning Sessions) in adopted communities in Bicol and Western Visayas. The PCE Learning Sessions helped equip parents and home learning partners with knowledge and practical skills in facilitating children’s early grade learning. The roll-out of the modules included training of trainers with parents, local government/barangay officials, and other stakeholders and partners, and the formation of neighborhood parent support groups (NPSGs).
