Community Capacity Building on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and the creation of Barangay DRRM and Contigency Plans

FH aims to empower partner communities so they can prepare for, response, and mitigate disasters through barangay-level disaster preparedness training. After this training, FH assists community leaders at the barangay level (under the Barangay DRRM Councils) develop their own Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (BDRRM) and Contingency plans. This contains action steps on how to act before, during, and after disasters such as typhoons, fires, earthquakes, flooding, and most recently COVID-19. FH provides refresher training to help BDRRMC officers in updating their plans.
