CCFEL-Waste Collection Expansion and Solid Waste Management Support

This project aims to uphold RA 9003 and PD No. 825 by empowering various communities in the province of Cavite which currently have poor solid waste management programs. The project shall inculcate the value of waste management at source and promote the relevance of circular economy of recycling. This will be done by providing support to promote solid waste management among its citizens and institutions, especially the communities’ residentials areas, junk shops, local people’s organizations, and the local government units at the barangay level. The support shall be in the form of information dissemination, incentivizing waste picking as a viable source of income and honorable livelihood, accreditation of junk shops, and capacity building of the local organizations involved. Each is considered a relevant part of the waste value chain, and their participation is key in the promotion of a zero waste environment.
